2012 Mary's Walk & Kerrymen Pub 5K
Sunday, Mar 11, 2012 - Maine Law Team
Dear Maine Law students, faculty and staff: please join in and support members of the Maine Law community as they participate in the 14th Annual Mary's Walk and Kerrymen Pub 5K on Sunday March 11, 2012.
Below is a message from Matthew Libby '12:

"I am participating in the 14th Annual Mary’s Walk and Kerrymen Pub 5K on March 11th in Saco and I am trying to create a fairly large contingent of Maine Law students, faculty, and staff for my Maine Law Team.

My family started Mary's Walk in 1999 as a way to remember my mother who passed away from Burkitt's Lymphoma in 1997.  The event continues to grow and is one of the largest single day cancer fundraisers in the state (approximately $1.7 million has been raised in 13 years). Unfortunately so does the impact of cancer on an ever increasing number of men and women.

Please consider joining my team, Maine Law, as either a walker or a runner (just follow the link to my personal page and select "My Team Page"). Once you join the Maine Law team, you can create your own personal page, which allows you to raise money on your own if you so choose.  All of the money we raise individually will count toward our Maine Law Team Total.  Last year we finished third in total fundraising!  If you can't participate, please consider making a donation to my personal page or the Maine Law team page.

Please help us show support for those in our community who are battling cancer, and also to honor and remember those we have lost to it.

Thank you for your support!

Matt
